Collaboration on the implementation of automated driving

Collaboration on the implementation of automated driving

Context

The MINGA project is dedicated to automating public transportation in Munich. The ITIV research team is specifically concentrating on the sensor framework and interconnected system elements essential for enabling buses to operate in a platoon formation, where multiple vehicles travel automatically in a convoy. We are currently seeking student assistants (HIWIs) for roles in perception, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, monitoring, and system safety. If you have a passion for automated driving, point cloud processing, computer vision, or the integration of various modules in ROS2, we encourage you to submit your application.

Tasks

  • Extension of modules in ROS2
  • Implementation of a monitoring system
  • further development of Lidar point cloud processing or enhancing of V2V communication.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Python or C/C++
  • Basic knowledge of ROS2
  • Interested in automated driving
