Yesterday, the Institute of Information Processing Technology (ITIV) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) welcomed around 20 students from the Balthasar Neumann School (BNS) in Bruchsal as part of the existing cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

The day began with a warm welcome by Prof. Eric Sax, followed by an initial get-together over pastries and pretzels.

Prof. Sax then gave a tour of the institute and provided an initial insight into research work at KIT. Afterwards, PhD students David Kraus, Daniel Baumann and Marc Schindewolf took over the students for the presentation of the demonstrators. Each doctoral student presented a demonstrator from one of their projects and allowed the group to ask questions and try out the exhibits for themselves.

In the afternoon, the young people gathered in the communications engineering lecture hall (NTI) to attend Prof. Sax's lecture on "Systems Engineering and AI Processes (SEKI)". The day ended with a farewell by Prof. Sax and the presentation of giveaways to the guests.

This visit once again provided a valuable opportunity to gain an insight into the scientific work and study opportunities at KIT. The cooperation between BNS and KIT shows once again how important the exchange between schools and universities is for the promotion of young scientists.
