The development of perception functions for automated driving requires an enormous amount of data. To meet this need, simulation tools can be used to generate synthetic image data.
The doctorate focuses on the optimal use of these tools during the testing process for perception functions. This allows for the efficient identification and resolution of weaknesses in the functions, which represents an important contribution to the development of automated driving functions.
