Context

The vehicle is increasingly becoming part of a connected environment. Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communications will enable vehicles to receive Over The Air (OTA) updates. Future vehicles will extend the electronics/electrical (E/E) architecture into the cloud. This will allow entire vehicle functions to be offloaded to the cloud. How to deploy these functions in the cloud is critical and will be systematically addressed in this thesis....

Tasks

  • Identify deployment models of cloud-based vehicle functions.
  • Development of a model for decision making of the appropriate deployment type of a cloud-based vehicle function
