Goals and Contents

The Practical Internship in Information Technology (PIT) offers a unique opportunity to expand theoretical knowledge through practical experience and prepare for a future career.

During the internship, students receive a thorough introduction to hardware-related programming. Participants learn how to program microcontrollers, work with sensors and actuators and implement communication protocols. An important part of the course is working independently with technical manuals and data sheets in order to understand the specifications and functions of the hardware components. This knowledge is essential in order to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.

Another aim of the internship is to familiarize participants with modern software development tools, in particular version control systems such as Git. Participants learn to work efficiently in teams, manage code changes, resolve merge conflicts and manage projects consistently across different development branches.

An essential part of the internship is working in groups. Participants get the chance to work on projects in teams of several students. This experience not only strengthens technical skills, but also allows for the improvement of communication, collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support of the internship.
