Functional Safety and Verification for AI Hardware
The introduction of technological progress in the form of Embedded Hardware or AI Systems to safety-critical domains is promising. Making the step over from research and prototypes to Industrial and daily life applications requires the entire system to be reliable and fault tolerant. Gaps in the Functional Safety of the design can lead to great harm, especially in safety-critical domains such as autonomous driving, aerospace, or industrial automation. We are aiming to simplify the development and verification of reliable Hardware which can safely operate in harsh environments..

Adaptive Control for High-Throughput DAQ System
Particle Accelerator Experiments produce enormous amounts of data constantly during operation. Today, technological improvements enable trigger-less, free-streaming data acquisition for certain cases and experiments. This can circumvent the existing problem of having too much data to store and process and thereby allows for a more thorough and complex analysis of the data. To ensure data integrity in systems with throughput requirements of this scale, we develop throttling strategies to control the data flow with the goal of reaching high efficiency without losing critical experimental information..
