Development of a cloud environment for the realization of OTA updates and the relocation of vehicle functions

Context

Vehicles are increasingly becoming part of a networked environment. Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication enables vehicles to be provided with Over The Air (OTA) updates and future vehicles will extend the Electronic/Electrical (E/E) architecture into the cloud. Designing a secure connection from the vehicle to the cloud and visualizing relevant information about the vehicle in the cloud can be implemented using a wide variety of technologies. The selection and the associated evaluation of the technical implementation options represent a challenge in the design process.

Goals

Implementation of a secure over-the-air connection on a demonstrator and creation of a cloud-based interface for the visualization of vehicle information.
