Context

Next year, a new lecture series on Information Processing will be offered. The course covers topics ranging from the fundamentals of digital logic and computer architecture to performance optimizations and modern hardware for machine learning. A particular focus will be on the Gemmini Machine Learning Accelerator, which will be addressed both in lectures and in a dedicated hands-on workshop.

To ensure the best possible preparation of materials and exercises, we are looking for a motivated student assistant to support us in the design, creation, and technical implementation of teaching content.

Tasks
  • Assisting in the preparation and revision of lecture materials (slides, scripts, examples)
  • Preparing and documenting exercises
  • Supporting the organization and execution of the Gemmini workshop
  • Testing example code, simulations, and practical exercises
Requirements
  • Solid knowledge of computer architecture and/or machine learning is an advantage
  • Interest in low-level programming and performance analysis
  • Programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python)
  • Experience with RISC-V or ML frameworks is desirable but not required
