Integration of a gaming steering wheel into the ITIV ATLAS demonstrator setup

Context

The ITIV ATLAS demonstrator is intended to serve as a hardware platform for a service-oriented E/E architecture of a modern vehicle. On the demonstrator, the use-cases over-the-air (OTA) updates and function relocation to the cloud will be presented. For both use cases, the CARLA driving simulation environment will be used to represent driving behavior. The control of the vehicle in the simulation environment is now to be implemented using a gaming steering wheel.

Tasks

Integration of the driving signals of the gaming steering wheel into the service-oriented vehicle software architecture of the demonstrator.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in ROS2 and Python is advantageous
