Environment

Many lidar- and radar systems rely on a rotating beam scanning system to cover as large a scanning area as possible. Google, for example, also used such systems in their autonomous driving prototypes. Lidar systems on the roof of their vehicle.

In order to cover as large a scanning range as possible, research is to be carried out at ITIV on a new beam scanning system in which the scanning range can be varied by moving two lens systems relative to each other.
