Summary of the dissertation

This thesis investigates an optical wind sensor for the non-contact measurement of wind parameters under various conditions. The measurement principle falls under the category of particle-based optical flow measurement and is based on Particle Streak Velocimetry (PSV).

A key feature of the approach under investigation is that existing airborne particles are optically detected and analyzed without the active addition of particles.
