Research Focus Areas

The Microsystems Technology and Optics Research Group focused on a wide range of topics related to sensor technology, medical technology, industrial measurement technology, and telematics.
The research group carried out various and contract development work in close cooperation with industry partners. The institute’s well-equipped mixed-signal measurement laboratory served as the foundation for research and industrial contracts, such as the validation and evaluation of optical systems. In this context, the research group was represented at many industry trade shows.
A close cooperation partner in both research and development was the Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering (EES) research group at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in Karlsruhe.
