Summary of the Dissertation

This dissertation was written in collaboration with Daimler Buses and focuses on the selection and control of heat sources in thermal management systems for electric city buses. The target was to reduce energy consumption during heating while ensuring thermal comfort for passengers through model-predictive control. This optimization contributes to increasing the range and, consequently, the economic viability of electric buses in public transit.
