Study information day at ITIV: Experience technology, shape the future

From driver assistance to medical technology - insights into the world of information technology

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, it was time again: ITIV presented exciting insights into the diverse topics of our institute at the nationwide study information day.

Information technology is shaping the future - and we showed how:

One highlight was the CAVIL treadmill demonstrator, which is used to present realistic scenarios for driver assistance using model vehicles. The demonstration by David Kraus made it clear how modern technology increases road safety and improves the driving experience.

Beforehand, visitors were able to get to know a digital pen developed with the help of sensors and artificial intelligence together with Dr. Tanja Harbaum. This innovative device helps children learn to write and opens up new possibilities in the field of education.

The focus was also on medical technology: in the laboratory, Marius Gerdes showed how information technology helps to analyze situations and evaluate measurements - so that patients and doctors can exchange important information between appointments.

Conclusion:

The study information day once again showed how exciting and future-oriented information technology is. With practical insights, we were able to inspire pupils to study in this field and thus attract the next generation to the technology of tomorrow.
