This year’s doctoral seminar for Prof. Becker’s research group took the doctoral researchers to Monbachtal. As in previous years, the seminar provided an opportunity to present current research, discuss new findings, and receive valuable feedback for their future academic work.

The participants contributed diverse academic perspectives and used their time together for in-depth discussions and exchanges about their doctoral projects. The productive atmosphere sparked new ideas and strengthened collaboration within the group.

In addition to the academic program, the retreat also focused on team-building. As a special team activity, the doctoral researchers worked together to build a raft, which was subsequently successfully tested. The task required creativity, good coordination, and teamwork, and provided a shared experience away from the daily routine of research.

The written exam(ination) thus once again offered a successful combination of academic exchange and group activities, strengthening both scientific collaboration and cohesion within the doctoral student group.
