ITIV and Tongji University Promote Academic Exchange

On July 15, 2026, the Institute for Information Processing Technology (ITIV) welcomed a delegation from Tongji University in Shanghai to the joint**“2026 Student Forum – Tongji University & Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (ITIV).” The forum was held under the theme “Intelligent Technology and Green Development” and served as a platform for academic exchange between the two universities.

Following the welcome address and an introduction to the institute by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Becker, students from both universities presented their research projects. The presentations covered topics in the divisions of embedded systems, FPGA and hardware acceleration, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics.

In the afternoon, guests were given a lab tour that provided insights into current ITIV research projects and demonstrators. The first day concluded with a joint dinner, which offered an opportunity for personal interaction.

The following day, the participants visited Vector Informatik GmbH in Stuttgart. The program there included company presentations, tours, and discussions on industrial applications of modern information technologies.

The Student Forum strengthens the long-standing partnership between ITIV and Tongji University and provides valuable impetus for international collaboration in research and teaching.
