Integration test of a ‘control over the air’ approach for an automotive comfort function

Integration test of a ‘control over the air’ approach for an automotive comfort function

Bus

Context

The relocation of vehicle functions or individual software components to the cloud opens up a wide range of potential for both the end customer and the vehicle manufacturer. In this project, the control loop of a climate control system for the passenger compartment of a city bus is to be closed via the cloud to the vehicle. Modern E/E architecture concepts such as service orientation are to be applied.

Objectives

  • Development, testing and integration of a model-predictive controller into an existing service-oriented architecture
  • Evaluation of the COTA approach in terms of control quality with different latencies

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of ROS2
