Background

Virtual and Augmented Reality are becoming progressively important technologies. At ITIV we use those to research human vision and perception. VR and AR allow us to enhance our perception of the world. Furthermore, we can simulate vison.

Current research topics involving VR and AR are:

  • Simulation of inter ocular lenses
  • Improvement of perception
  • Age related vision diseases
  • Development of head mounted displays

 

Tasks may include

  • Working with VR/AR-technologies like HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Pupil Trackers, Microsoft HoloLens (2) …
  • Vision science and ophthalmology
  • Signal processing, computer vision, data science,
  • convolutional neural networks

 

Required

  • High amount of motivation
  • Experience in programming (C++, Python or C#)
